We specialise in accounting services for the non-profit sector!
Most of our clients operate within the non-profit sector. This includes associations and membership-based organisations, foundations, as well as limited companies affiliated with such entities.
Organisations in this sector are often subject to specific requirements regarding how accounts are maintained and how financial information must be reported to annual general meetings, boards, donors, public authorities, and other stakeholders.
We understand that for associations and non-profit organisations it is particularly important that as much funding as possible is directed towards their core purpose. For this reason, we offer reduced rates to clients within this sector.

Finance and grants management, risk and compliance services, and accounting

We are a team of thirteen dedicated economists, project managers, and accountants with extensive experience supporting associations, non-profit organisations, and development and humanitarian actors.

In addition to accounting and audit-related services, we have extensive experience in risk management and mitigation, as well as monitoring of projects and international partners.

Our expertise also includes development of procedures, capacity building, budgeting, donor reporting, organisational reviews, and anti-corruption measures.
Organizational reviews / partner assessments
Accurat offers local follow-up of development partners abroad with a focus on finance, anti-corruption and risk management. We perform assignments such as due diligence, risk assessment, project monitoring and review of partners' management capacity, with a particular focus on compliance with the requirements of Norad and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
All assignments are carried out by consultants with extensive experience in Norwegian aid management. We have both Norwegian and foreign consultants who cover the following languages: English, French, Spanish and Swahili.
We have regional offices in Kenya and Malawi, as well as affiliated consultants in Burundi, South Africa, Zambia and Malawi as well as Guatemala, in addition to eight Oslo-based consultants and two in Sweden.
We have developed our own tools that cover the following areas:
- Organization and employees
- Government reporting
- Regulatory requirements
- Budgeting and planning
- Internal control and financial management
- Financial reporting
- Fixed assets, purchasing and logistics
- Anti-corruption

The reviews are done locally at the partner, and usually take 3 days. If your organization has its own tools for this type of review, these can also be used.
Please contact us to get an assessment of whether a partner review can be done in the country and/or region your partner operates in!
IMPROVEMENT OF INTERNAL ROUTINES AND PROCEDURES
We have previously developed routines and procedures for due diligence of new partner organizations, both in organizations where we have previously worked and in connection with consulting assignments for other aid organizations.
An example of a tool we have developed for the aid organizations we work with is the "partner assessment tool".
While our work has primarily focused on the financial and administrative dimensions of due diligence and organisational reviews, we have the competence and experience to address a wider range of thematic areas. Where required, the scope can be expanded to include programmatic and operational aspects, and the tool can be adapted accordingly to ensure a comprehensive due diligence process.
